What's New?

Here's a quick run-down of our lab activities.

RAs present their work at two UC Irvine Research Symposiums (May, 2022)

The ACE Lab RAs presented the results of their independent research projects at two university research symposiums, the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Symposium and the Working Memory Plasticity (WMP) Lab Undergraduate Research Symposium. One group of RAs studied how user comments affected how people perceived and reasoned about health-related TikToc videos. Another group studied the frequency of mobile phone use while studying and its relationship to study hours, which received 3rd place for best project at the WMP symposium.

Because our RAs are trained in R, their posters had the prettiest data visualizations. 💕

ACE Lab offers training on clickstream data processing at LAK22 (March, 2022)

Dr. Fernando Rodriguez and Dr. Hye Rin Lee led a 3 hour online training on using R to process clickstream data at the 2022 Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK) conference. This sold-out training was attended by graduate students, industry researchers, and faculty from across the globe.
